About DeA

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

DeA Tigers RFC was formed from two existing clubs in September 2002. These were DeA RFC - a senior club - and Kai Tak Tigers - a club offering mini and youth rugby. This combination aims to encourage individuals to develop themselves as rugby players through all levels within the one club

The club is based at Kings Park in the heart of Kowloon. With minis and youth playing on Sunday mornings and seniors on weekday evenings and Saturdays this green haven amongst the concrete is a thriving festival of rugby throughout the months from September to April.

The club is run entirely by the members at very low cost, which enables it to keep membership fees very low. Activities within the club are divided between playing the game and social events.

Participating in the game

The club has three divisions for the training of players and for participating in games:

    • Minis for children up to the age of 11
    • Youth for children between 12 and 18
    • Senior for adults

Each of these divisions have sections for girls/women; however, there is a separate women's section in this site for girls or women interested in participating in rugby .

The club welcomes anyone who is interested in playing, coaching or helping with the administration in one of more of these divisions. Further details about each division can be found in the relevant sections of this site. A pull-down menu leading to these sections appears on the left of all pages in the site.

Social

If you are interested in becoming involved with the club, but you do not wish to be associated with any of the divisions, then you can still join and enjoy the social side of the club.
