DeA Tigers U6 Head Coach

ColinOnce again, Colin Durbridge will be welcoming our youngest group of potential rugby stars into DeA, a job he has been doing since way back in the days when we were still called KaiTak Tigers. Apart from being a very experience Rugby coach (and father to a talented young Rugby player) Colin is also a qualified and experienced referee for adult rugby...

Most of you received your free issue size 3 rugby ball last Sunday and hopefully those who did not yet receive their ball can collect it this Sunday.

During last Sunday's training we practiced how to hold the ball correctly.  The ball should always be held in two hands with thumbs at the top and fingers at the side, as demonstrated by Dylan White in the pictures below.  Remind your Little Tiger of this whenever they pick up a rugby ball.
This Sunday we will start our regular parent and child ball handling skills session in which we will be asking for each child to be accompanied by a parent for this exercise.  So come prepared to join-in.

Despite the high temperatures we still had a good turnout again last Sunday and it was nice to welcome more new players to our group.  It looks as though this Sunday will be a little cooler.
