That time of the year again and the DeA Ball is looming, albeit we have had to push the date back this year to avoid a conflict with the Asian 5 Nations matches. Details for the Ball are:
Date: 29 May 2010
Time: 7:30pm for 8pm
Dress: Lounge Suit / Cocktail Dress
Venue: Kowloon Cricket Club
Price: $600 (same as last year)
Tickets are on sale now. You can buy these on Sunday 25 April at the end of season fun day – either individually or better still put together a table of 12 people (or more than one table..!) within your age group. If you want to buy tickets please ask your manager or Division rep. An extra bottle of wine will be given to each table that orders tickets by the table rather than individually.
A big weekend of Mini rugby lies ahead for us. Sunday 25th April will be the last day of our regular Minis season. Therefore, I need to pass on some important information. The new season will commence at King’s Park on Sunday 22 August, while our Tigerfest, i.e. the DeA Mini festival at King's Park, will be held on Sunday 7 November. However, that does not mean that your child will be deprived of rugby over the summer. Please read on!
Summer Rugby Course – this is an opportunity for your child to have 17 weeks of rugby over the summer for a mere HK$350, including shirt. This course is run by experienced coaches and is excellent value. It started at King’s Park on Tuesday this week, but your child can join at any stage. Please see attachment for details.
Dear Minis members
Only two Sundays left in the DeA Minis season, so I hope everyone can make an effort to come training on 18th and 25th April, come wind, rain or shine.
Summer Course - Even though DeA training finishes on 25th April, we will still be running an excellent summer course throughout the summer. Please see the details, as attached, and register now! It starts soon. This is excellent value and at very low cost. It will also keep the kids occupied and happy one day per week over the summer.
Sunday 18th April - this weekend, we are having a joint DeA and Kowloon RFC day. This means that we will have Tai Hang Tung Minis and Kowloon youth and seniors joining with us this weekend. This should be great for the kids. Training will start at 08.30, ending at 10.30 for the younger age groups on pitch 3 and at 11.00 for the older minis. At 11.00, our U12/U13s will join together to take on the Kowloon Lions U14s on KP1, so I hope minis members can stay on to support the kids in this friendly match. There should be food and beverage after training and a chance to socialise/mingle with our visitors/guests.
Badges/awards - on 18th, we will also arrange for the monthly awards for the kids, so I anticipate that these can be given out to U6-U8 age groups at 10.30 and to U9-U12s at 11.00. Please attend this ceremony and support the recipients of badges. Don't forget your camera, in case your child is the awardee.

Dear DeA Minis Members
I hope you all had a great Easter holiday. I also hope you had a great time at the HK7s, for those of you who were able to attend. How Canada beat Wales I will never know!!
