Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionDear Parents, We have training as usual this coming Sunday at 8:30am – the Valley Fort U8’s will not be joining us as previously expected, so we will be training on our own. The following are a few important messages with regards to the U8’s: Awards

We had our first award presentation last week and the following children received awards for the previous month:

 

·        Tiger of the Month: Taiga NAKAHASHI – best all round performer

 ·        Players of the Month: Pei Tsun YIP (support play); Ryan BALLESTY (tackling) and Annabel DYSON (most improved) Congratulations to all and please continue to encourage your children to do as best they can during the training and game sessions. 

Registration

 

You should have all completed your registration by now and collected your child’s new kit. If you have not registered please do so this Sunday.

If you have any outstanding kit please see Roi in the office and bring your payment receipt when you do. Mouthguards

We have had some minor injuries in other age which have been worse than necessary as the children were not wearing mouthguards.

 From this Sunday we will enforce the mouthguard rule for the games and some of the drills where a chance of injury exists.

For those of you who don’t have mouthguards please collect at the office as above with your receipt.

For those of you needing replacements they can be purchased for $20 at the office. 

Singapore Tournament:

 

Thank you all for the response to the invitation to the Singapore International Minis Tournament – we have 13 confirmed players which is an excellent result.

For those of you who are taking part I will send you separate information early next week. Rules of Conduct - Training

We now have a large number of children attending training in the U8’s and the coaching team have agreed on a few improvements to the structure of the training  for everyone to get the most out of the sessions.

 

We will inform the children on Sunday of some simple rules we will need them to follow regarding their conduct at training.

 I’d like to have a separate word with all the parents in this regard and would ask you to stay back after the tiger shout to do so. Feedback

Some of the newer parents have contacted me regarding the performance of their children so far.

 Best if you discuss this with me or any of the coaches on Sunday – in general terms the standard and skills displayed by all are as would be expected from this age group. Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday at 8:30. CheersMarcus PraetoriusM 9179 6250
