Dear Minis Members
I hope you and your kids had a great time at the Tai Po festival last weekend. The weather was great and everyone seemed to be having a good time. DeA teams performed very well throughout the day, which was very encouraging, so thanks to the coaches for all their hard work in preparation for the festival.
This Sunday, we only have the use of pitch 3, as pitches 1 & 2 will be used for a tertiary rugby festival all day. Therefore, training will be split on Sunday:
08.30-10.30 - U6, U7, U8 and U9 age groups
10.30-12.30 - U10, U11, U12 and U11/12 girls
I hope this does not inconvenience the older age groups too much with the later starting time! The DeA senior team players will be at King's Park to help with coaching on Sunday, so many thanks to them for giving up their Sunday morning to help coach the Minis. We are hoping to have 2 senior players for each age group, so that should make training more excciting for the kids, rather than having to tolerate the usual coaching delights of their regular coaches!! I hope we can have a good turn out, as we need to tap in to the experience of the senior players and it will give the kids new insights into the game.
Finally, it would be great if our Minis members could turn up on Saturday to support the DeA first and second teams as they do battle in Divisions 1 & 2 respectively. The matches are both to be played on King's Park pitch 1:
6pm-8pm DeA Tigers v HKCC (3rd v 4th in lDiv 1)
4.30pm-6pm DeA II v HKCC II
Bring the kids along in their Tigers shirts and cheer the guys on. I'll be there supping a pint or two, as Delaney's will be open as usual!
Go Tigers,
Peter (DeA Minis Chair)
