Dear Minis Members

I hope that you have all enjoyed the Lunar New Year holidays and are making the most of the cold weather to go to the beach and do lots of outdoor activities!! It looks as if it will be a bit warmer on Sunday, but still cool. Please be reminded that training on Sunday will be from 08.00-09.30, as we have to give up our normal training time for a soccer tournament this weekend. I know this is not a convenient hour, but please try to come as this will be the last opportunity for coaches of each age group to finalise their teams and fine tune the training for the Valley Fort festival. The proposed pitch usage for this Sunday will be:

U6 & U7 - half of pitch 3

U8 & U11/12 girls - half of pitch 3

U9 & U10 - pitch 2

U11 & U12 - pitch 1

Valley Fort festival - this will be held on Sunday 28th February, at King's Park. I will send out the schedule, once I receive the final version. This will probably be early next week. However, so that you know the playing times for each age group: U6, U7, U8 & U10 age groups will play from 09.00-12.45; U9s will play from 14.00-17.30; U9/10 girls & U11/12 girls will play from 12.30-14.00; and U12s will play from 13.15-17.30. Please note that the U11 schedule is not included, as it has not been sent yet, but they will play in the afternoon. Please also note that DeA have entered an U9/10 girls team for the first time this year, as we now have enough registered players. This is great news. I hope that parents of those girls can commit to attending the tournament at King's Park from 12.30-14.00 on 28th February, as it will be a great experience for them to play against girls from 3 other clubs.

HK7s tickets - Brenton and I will collect the HK7s tickets at a Mini rugby meeting on Thursday 25th March and we will then arrange how to distribute these to those DeA members who have ordered them. As the Valley Fort festival falls on 28th February, it seems most likely that HK7s tickets will be distributed from the King's Park clubhouse on Sunday 7th March and Sunday 21st March, as we have the HKFC tournament on 14th March. Also, may I suggest, a an indicator only, that some members may wish to sell on part of their ticket allocation to other DeA members, as they will not wish to attend the HK7s on all 3 days. My suggestion for a fair pricing strategy might be:

Child tickets - Friday = HK$50; Saturday = HK$100; Sunday = HK$150

Adult tickets - Friday = HK$150; Saturday = HK$450; Sunday = HK$650

However, this is only my view abd memberss can agree on their own pricing for this!!

Go Tigers!!

Peter (DeA Minis Chair)
