Dear U12 Members

Firstly, may I thanks all of you for making such a terrific effort to support DeA U12s over the course of the season, especially at the HKFC festival on Sunday 14th March, where we had a full complement of 24 players, so that was great to see. On behalf of the U12 coaches, I would like to express how amazingly proud we were of all players, both in DeA1 and DeA2. Both teams ended the day by winning 3 matches and losing 2 and the culmination of it all was the DeA1 team lifting the Plate at the end of the day. The performances of both sides were impressive and the kids gave their all on the day, in some very tough and competitive games, so please ensure they know that they did us proud!

It will be training as usual on Sunday 21st March and again it important that we have a good turn-out. We have entered one DeA U12 team in the HK7s  and this is our last opportunity to prepare for that. On Sunday, the coaches will need confirmation from all of you about whether your kids intend to play at the HK7s and whether they have already secured tickets for this event. DeA will play FC2 from 08.03-08.15 on the Sunday of the HK7s.

Also, on Sunday, we will need confirmation of who will be playing in the International Youth Tournament on Thursday 24th March. Again, we have entered one DeA U12 team and they will play 6 matches between 10.00-13.30. I attach the IYT schedule. I believe that Terry has already forwarded on school release letters for this event, as the kids will need to miss school on that day. Mark Hunter will coach the team on the day and all players would need to be at King's Park by 09.15. This is a 10-a-side, round robin, format so I hope we can have at least 13-14 players available on the day. Several of our DeA U12s will then play for the Peninsula U12s in a re-match against Island U12s on the same day, as a curtain raiser to HK10s Final, to be held at HKFC. This will be a tremedous occasion for them, as they will play at a world event in front of a full house at HKFC.

Finally, a reminder that Sunday will be the last day to collect your tickets from King's Park clubhouse. Please bring along your receipt and HKID cards for verification. If you do not wish to go on all days of the HK7s, there are still many DeA members looking to buy tickets for individual days. Bring spare tickets along and I am sure they can be sold this weekend. Please contact Brenton Judge on: 7sticket@deatigersrfc.com if you wish to sell any full tickets or day tickets.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Go Tigers!!

Peter
