This week Eurosport in Asia will provide LIVE broadcast of the highly anticipated Rugby World Cup Sevens from Dubai, a spectacular event showcasing teams from 31 nations.

The Rugby World Cup Sevens has been featuring some of the world’s finest rugby actions since 1993. 24 men’s team, including defending champion Fiji, Hong Kong, England, Arabian Gulf, Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Portugal, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Tonga, Tunisa, Uruguay, USA, Wales and Zimbabwe, will go head to head for the title that is up for grabs once every four years.
For the first time in history, the tournament will see the addition of 16 women’s teams from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Uganda and the USA.
The inaugural men’s tournament was held in Scotland in 1993 and won by England. Fiji won the world cup twice (1997, 2005) while New Zealand took the title in 2001.
The next Rugby World Cup Sevens will be held in 2013.
