Survey from the HKRFU and RWC 7s Tickets for Dubai this year

For those not yet disappeared off to start CNY celebrations, couple of quick messages!

The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union is constantly looking for ways to improve rugby in Hong Kong. Part of that process is trying to understand how we better market and communicate the HKRFU. We have set this survey up to hear from you about how you think things are going. Your feedback is key to helping us better understand where we are, and more importantly where we need to be.

We hope you will be as open and honest as possible, so feel free to tell us exactly what you think. All of the collected information in this survey will remain completely confidential and will only be used for internal purposes in helping us form our strategy for the future.

Laws of mini rugby have been updated

Please note that the union has updated the laws of mini rugby.  Most changes are quite minor however you and your child should have a look and discuss with your coach if there is anything that you don't understand.  The laws are available in either the referee section of the website or the respective team section of the website.

Seniors Rugby this weekend - Jan 17 2009

Last week saw the return of a nearly full strength DeA team with Jon Abel, Ivan Zenovic, Keith Robertson and Rowan Varty all returning to our first division team when they took on Football Club.  Unfortunately we drew 27-27 with Football Club after having a strong lead going into the final stages of the game so I'm sure they'll be looking for the win when they face Causeway Bay this weekend.  Come down to King's Park and cheer them on.

Division 1 CWB Rams v DeA Tigers KP 6.00pm

The other divisions are playing away this weekend, but, as always, I'm sure they'd appreciate it if supporters made the effort:

Division 3 DeA McDeA v Tradition Valley Mustangs Happy Valley 4.30pm
Division 5B TPD v DeA III Tai Hang Tung 4.30pm
Division 6 DeA Dev v Nomads II Tai Hang Tung 3:00pm

January 4th - training as usual and badge presentations

Dear Members

I hope you all had a fantastic Xmas holiday, but I am sure you all ate and drank to excess, unlike the committee members who took care of themselves. Therefore, it is vital that everyone comes to training on 4th January 2009, to work off the extra fat which will have accumulated in unsavoury places!!  We will award badges to the kids this Sunday in front of the clubhouse, based on performance and attendance in December, so please be prepared to stay behind for that important event. Also, training on Sunday will be important as it is the week before the Tai Po festival, which will take place at King's Park on 11th January 2009. Parents, please make sure you let the coaches or team managers know whether your child is available for that festival.

On behalf of the Minis Committee, may I wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2009!!

All the best,

Peter (Dea Minis Chair)

Minis Christmas Party

Thanks for all of you who joined DeA Minis Division Christmas party yesterday and we hope that you all had a great day.

Christmas Party

As always a lot of hard work done by Helen Adams, Roiroi Boyd and Jim Middleton (who had the thankless job of washing the bouncy castle and getting it up and running).  Extra special thanks to Delaneys for putting on the Christmas ham and mulled wine...

Anyone with more photos (particularly of Santa) emails to reg@deatigersrfc.com or discs next Sunday.
