Final Awards

Hi all,

Please be reminded that next Tuesday, May 3rd, U14s coaches will present the final awards to the best player and most improved player of each of the three teams.

We will be gathering before 5:45pm at King's Park. Please do come along. Other trophies will also be presented, most notably the Division 1 Championship Trophy and the Division 2 Plate Trophy.

The reason we choose to present the awards on May 3rd is because many people had indicated they would be absent on April 24th, Easter Sunday, when the youth chairman presented the Club Awards  (See photos here at https://picasaweb.google.com/karen.photogallery/20110424DeATYouthAwardsAndFunTouch?authkey=Gv1sRgCPmDkbm25susVw&feat=directlink thanks to Karen Combes). Also, on May 1st, King's Park is booked for a soccer tournament.

Finally, I remind those interested that Tuesday night summer training with Ah-Hau will commence on the same night, May 3rd at 6pm. The cost is $400. If you like, you can enrol and join the training after the U14s' Awards Ceremony.

Thank you.

at 11:30am this coming Sunday, April 24th, at King`s  Park. In each age group one player will receive the Best Player Award and

another player the Most Improved Award. If you are free, it would be great to have you along.

Please note that as April 24th is also Easter Sunday, the Delaney`s food and drink bar will be closed.

Finally, please remember , as told to us in David`s message, the U14`s internal awards will be presented on Tuesday May 3rd, from 5:45pm at King`s Park.

Message from Head Coach David Loiterton

Hi everyone,

Please read the message below from David.

Please note that there will be no more training sessions on either Tuesdays or Sundays for DeA U14s. Thank you.

Dear Players and parents

We’re now drawing to the end of the season and I would like to give you an update firstly on recent events, and secondly on our plans over the next month. Please read this note as it contains some important information.

Hong Kong National U14’s Team
The following players have been selected to tour with the Hong Kong U14 National team to Singapore. There they’ll play the Singapore National U14 side and one other warm up match:
Lewis Bunce
Ciel Chen (unfortunately Ciel has had to withdraw because of injury)
Jack Combes
Yuji Kobota
Dominic Lam
Jake Loiterton
Daniel MacAtamney
Max Mitchelmore

This is a fantastic achievement, with 1/3 of the National squad coming from our DEA ranks.

Special mention should also be made of Daniel Archer who went all the way but just missed out on the final cut – well done Daniel, that is an experience that will set you up very well for next year.

International Youth 10’s Tournament
We entered one team in this tournament and won the Plate final. The team was in fact unbeaten but ended up in the Plate on a try count back. As many of you are aware this is the tournament where Ciel was injured.
