I will see you all when I get back to KP after the Taipan tournament at HKFC.

For the Taipan tournament, please remember to get to HKFC around 7.30am but no later than 7.40am please as there is a lot to sort out in a short period of time. If one or two could remember to bring a ball along to warm up with, that would be helpful too (we've lost ours!!).

Dear Parents,

Things heated up again last Sunday with the fine weather and the introduction of some new laws. We will continue to instil these in the players at the start of next season.

For those parents with boys playing at the Taipan tournament on Saturday especially, please keep reminding them of the new 6-tackle rule and the need to retire 3m immediately before being able then to move forward to tackle the opposition again. When in possession, it’s really important for the ball carrier to think about passing earlier (before being tackled) and for his/her team mates to support the ball-carrier and make sure he/she knows that they are there and where they are by shouting nice and loudly.

Saturday 9th April 2011 - Final 2 mini tournaments

The following 2 mini tournaments will be held on Saturday 9th April:

- HKFC Taipan 125th Anniversary celebration of rugby – Saturday 9th April 2011 (at HKFC, Happy Valley)

We have entered 2 teams to this cup competition. So far we have 17 players registered which are just enough to field these 2 teams. Please see below the teams for this tournament.

The games start at 8am and the whole competition will be finished by 9am. As there is a cup to be won this week, I would appreciate everyone being there on time and ready to go by 7.40am.

We now have further schedule information about the above 2 tournaments which take place on Saturday April 9th.

Our games start at 9am and will be finished by 11.15am with presentations at 11.30am.

Dear Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed the Hong Kong Sevens last weekend those of that you that went. I know the kids certainly seemed to have a great time and thoroughly enjoyed playing on the main pitch on the Friday and taking part in the march past on the Sunday. It was of course only marred by England losing in the final – something I know you all share my disappointment about ;-)

Sunday 3^rd April 2011

Training continues this coming Sunday at King’s Park. Please note that due to an event taking place there, we will move to Pitch 2 (the top pitch furthest away from the clubhouse) and will have to finish at 10.15am. It is therefore vital that we all are there ready to start at 8.30am. Please make every effort to do so. We will try to start introducing some likely new rules for next season if they are confirmed in time. These will be trialled at the Taipan celebration mentioned below and we will be putting the girls together in preparation for the All Girl’s tournament also mentioned below.

Coaches Debrief Session – All coaches are requested to stay behind after training this week for around 30 mins to debrief what has gone well and what could be improved as well as to understand and define what roles we would all like to take next season. Reeve and I would appreciate if as many of you could stay around for this important session.
