U9's parents-

We had a VERY low turnout for training yesterday, rather a disappointment as we do have a festival next weekend.  With only 21 boys present, we were unable to make up our teams for the festival so they could train a game together.  This makes it difficult for any of us to expect performance in the games. 

This Sunday coming is the Valley Fort festival at King's park.  Per my previous email, I have put in FOUR (4) teams so we need full turnout.  I only have 3 players who have emailed and said they cannot make it, so at this point with 35 attending, we should be fine. 

We have again been scheduled to play in the afternoon; our first game is at 1345 and our last game at 1600.  PLEASE arrive by 1 pm!!!  We will need time to marshal the teams and players.  I have put in 4 teams and we are likely to be about 5-8 players short, so we will need to move boys around; each player can expect to get 4-5 games probably.  Attached the draft festival schedule; see U9 tab for our games.  I will send the team lists by Friday.   

IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND THIS SUNDAY, PLEASE EMAIL ME SO I CAN PLAN.  EVEN IF YOU HAVE ALREADY, PLEASE DO IT AGAIN.  IF YOU CAN PLAY, DON'T EMAIL ME.

Reminder we do have training as usual at KP tomorrow.  We will start with a warm-up at 830 and then we have a guest coach (Steve Jones) from the Union who will coach the boys from 9-930, so we need to be on time to benefit from this unexpected but welcome offer.

Steve will then conduct a coaching clinic from 11-12 am (just after our training finishes) for all contact coaches (U9-U11) ad it would be great if all the Dads who assist with coaching can stay back for that hour to pick up what is sure to be excellent advice.

There were 2 previous emails on this subject about registration and then attendance at training over the weekend at Hin Tin.  Of the 24 boys who registered on time for the 2 teams we have in the coming festival, we had 6 that didn't show up for training.  We also had 6 other boys that did come to training but had not signed up within the window for the festival teams.

Given all this to contend with, and the need to put together 2 cohesive teams to train and then play to standard in the upcoming tournament, please find below the two starting teams.  We will be listed on the festival sheet as DEA3 & DEA4 respectively:
